1903 January 10, 1903 The church met and after sermon by the pastor proceeded to business. The clerk being absent, Clara Bartlett was elected Clerk Protem. On motion, the church dispensed with meeting on Sunday so that the Pastor could go to Little Creek. On motion, adjourned until the next regular meeting. Rev. J. N. Fox, Moderator Clara E. Feb. 7, 1903 The church met and after Scripture reading and prayer by Bro. Levi Fox, proceeded to business. On motion, Brother J. S. Corder was elected Moderator Protempore. On motion, sister Lucy Snyder (Hanger) was excluded from the church for heresy. Treasurer reported $11.09 on stoves, $2.70 on pastor's salary present year, $.25 on last year's salary and $.50 on incidental expenses. On motion, adjourned. J. S. Corder, Moderator Protempore J. S. West, Church Clerk March 7, 1903 The church met and after sermon by the pastor proceeded to business. Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. Treasurer reported $2.00 on last year's salary of the Pastor, $4.50 on present year and $.15 on incidental expenses since last report, and $16.09 paid on stoves. The moderator appointed Bro. Robert Short to take a collection to pay for lamp oil furnished by Bro. E. H. Bartlett; the collection amounted to one dollar. The church met April 11, 1903, and after sermon by the pastor, proceeded to business. Minutes of last meeting were red and approved. On motion, sisters Lizzie Hanger, Rhoda Hanger and Nellie West and brother Millard A. West were received for baptism and the hand of welcome was extended. Treasurer reported $1.21 on pastor's salary for the year ending March, 1902, $5.38 for the year ending with March, 1903, $12.10 on present year and $3.26 incidental expenses since the last report. Treasurer reported $3.50 on pastor's salary and $2.55 on incidental expenses since the last report. Sister Edna Newlon reported $.35 and Ina West $1.96 collected for State Missions. Craig was received by letter from the First Baptist Church of Marietta, Ohio. The moderator appointed brother Martin Mace and sisters Zona Corder and Myrtle Mace delegates to the Association. Treasurer reported $3.50 on pastor's salary, $.90 on incidental expenses since the last report and $1.10 collected for minutes. The church met Oct. 3, 1903, and after sermon by the pastor proceeded to business. Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. Treasurer reported $8.10 on pastor's salary and $.38 on incidental expenses since last report. On motion, it was ordered that the Trustees of this church clean up and fence the grave yard on the B. The church met December 12, 1903, and after sermon by the pastor proceeded to business. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. On motion, it was ordered that a majority of all the votes cast would be necessary to a choice in the election of a deacon. The moderator appointed brother W. A. McCoy to hold the election for deacon which resulted in the election of brother Bash Newlon. On motion, the vote was mad unanimous. On motion, the church proceeded to elect two trustees, and brethern W. T. Craig and William Stine were elected. The resignation of the clerk and treasurer was rejected by unanimous vote. On motion the clerk was instructed to invite deacons of sister churches to assist in the ordination of brother Bash Newlon as deacon. On motion, it was ordered that the pastoral year begin with January and end with December f each year. A collection was taken to defray expenses of Roll Call and a record book-collection $.81 cents. Treasurer reported $7.00 on pastor's salary, $1.50 on painting the church and $1.10 on incidental expenses since the last report. On motion, sister Clara Bartlett and brethern W. A. McCoy and J.S. On motion, brother Fred Springston was granted a letter to unite with the First Baptist Church of Akron, Ohio. On motion, J. W. Greathouse was received by letter from the Baptist Church of Ravenswood. Treasurer reported $4.25 on pastor's salary, $.57 on incidental expenses and $.50 on Ministerial Education. The church met April 8, 1905, and after sermon by the pastor proceeded to business. Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. On motion, sister Ethel A. Newlon and brother G. B. Newlon were granted letters of recommendation and dismission. On motion, the election of deacons was deferred until the new business of the day was transacted. On motion, the church decided to elect the deacons for three and four years respectively. On motion, the clerk was instructed to write letters commending non-resident members to Baptist churches nearest them. On motion, brother A. O. Rhodes was granted license to preach the gospel. On motion, the Clerk was ordered to take ballot for Deacons which resulted in the election of brother P. H. Morford the four year term and brother John Marks for the three year term. On motion it was ordered that the newly elected deacons be ordained at the next regular church meeting. On motion, the clerk was directed to invite the pastor and deacons of the Spencer Baptist Church to assist in the ordination of deacons May 13, 1905. Treasurer reported $8.35 on present year's salary of pastor, $.25 on last year, $4.15 on incidental expenses, $.20 on Home Missions, $.95 on Ministerial Education and $.10 on Poor Fund. The church met January 13 1906, and after sermon by the pastor, proceeded to business. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. According to previous arrangements, brother N. F. Epling was ordained as deacon of this church, Bro. James Walker of the Little Creek Church, brother F. P. Fox of Gilboa and L. Smith of Mt. Williams assisting in the ordination. Treasurer reported $4.50 on pastor's salary for the year 1905 and $5.00 on present year, $1.90 on incidental expenses, $4.20 on State Missions since the last report and $1.35 for the A.B.P.S. Craig, he was excluded from the fellowship of the church. On motion, it was ordered that the well on church lot be cleaned and fixed so as to be used. Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. On motion, the church grants the request of Gilboa Church to call a council to ordain Bro. A. O. Rhodes to the full work of the ministry. Summers to address the church on the subject of State Missions, Saturday night, Nov. 24, 1906. Bro. N. F. Epling reported the total cost of the coal house $8.50. The clerk and treasurer tendered his resignation to take effect on Saturday before the second Sunday in January, 1907.
