Seeking information on John A BOARD family. John A. was born in 1850 in Kanawha county. Elizabeth Susan GWINN was born in 1853 in Kanawha. They were married on October 6, 1873. Known children are Patrick Frederick b. 1875, Charles H b. 1877, Nora M b. 1881, Laura Lee b. 1884, Okey E. b. 1885, Kitty E. b. 1889, and Caloe E. b. 1893. In 1900 the family is living in Roane county. Seeking information on Thompson GWINN b. 1806 in Monroe County. He and his wife Rachel HARROW b. 1818 are known to have lived in Roane county. I believe they may be buried there also. Any information on them or there children would be greatly appreciated. Known children are Irene E. "Jane" b. 1843, Sarah Minerva b. 1845, Isabella Jane b. 1848, Matilda C. b. 1849, Wallace P b. 1850, Elizabeth Susan b. 1853, Henry F. b. 1856. and Charles F. b. 1858.

I have been researching Marguerite WESTFALL daughter of Clark Westfall She was born on Dec. 22, 1861 in Roane Co./died March 29 1958 Her father was married twice with conflicting dates . I don't know who her mother was. Could be Virginia REED or Matilda CLARKSON, whichever one, Marguerite was the first born child of Clark Westfall and my great-grandmother Marguerite married Will HUNT in Roane Co. Any info would be helpful.

I've some MCGAUGHEY ancestors (g-g-gps') supposedly buried in Clarence, which is near Peniel which is between Spencer and Ripley. Are there lists of cemeteries near that area? The Roane Co. page link to cemeteries doesn't mention one near there. These ancestors died about 1900. Thanks!

Family tradition states that he was the son of William GREATHOUSE and Nancy HICKS who lived in Spencer, but she was a bit young to be his mother. We would like to correspond with anyone who is descended from either William or Samuel GREATHOUSE. Samuel's son, Joseph, married Catherine "Kate" WEBB, sister of Susan WEBB BOGGS, and Joseph and Catherine's daughter Minnora GREATHOUSE married Maclhaney "Mac H." LOWRY. Mac and Nora were our great-grandparents. We would appreciate any correspondence about the above families or their lines.
