Ervin (Marion?) GREATHOUSE (1864-1950) married Effie L. WEBB
(1871-1938) in Roane County, WV on 19 Mar 1887. They are my
great-grandparents. Would like verification of their full names. They
left Roane County ca 1900 and moved to Richwood, WV. Believe Ervin's
parents were Isaac "Tas" GREATHOUSE and Sarah/Sally TANNER
GREATHOUSE .... Would like contact with other researchers on these lines

was born 11 Jul 1919 at Clover, WV and died 19 Nov 1982. He married
Bettie WADE. Jack had 3 siblings; Elwood, George, and Maycel

1896 he, John MCWILLIAMS, and N C WHITED led the Populist Political
Party in Roane County .... Supposedly the party had merged with the
Democrats earlier, but after an unsuccessful election, split to go it
alone
Was Abram PHILLIPS from Roane County, West Virginia or Roane County,
Tennessee ? He married Margaret RAMSEY of the Barbour County area and
had many children .... His parents may have been Allen and Sara CROSS
PHILLIPS .... Abram lived in the Hendricks area of Tucker County and was
killed by a falling tree in 1901 .... His widow married Abram's brother,
Baylum PHILLIPS

I am researching Zedock ELMORE and his wife Sarah who were in the 1900
census in the Harper district of Roane County .... Zedock died in 1917
in Charleston, WV .... when and where did Sarah die?

Researching the family of Clay MILLER and Elizabeth "Kitty"
PARSONS MILLER. Can find no birth or death records on Clay, who died
before the 1900 census .... was told he is buried in the Spencer
Cemetery but can find no marker .... Clay and Kitty had son Samuel
George MILLER (bn 11 Apr 1894) and Amy MILLER (bn 29 Mar 1897) .... Can
find no birth info on son Jim who is listed as 2 years old in the 1900
census (Jim died in accident at Tanner's Run oil field ca 1920) ....

My father, Walter C. LOWE, was born in Spencer, WV in 1905 .... He moved
to Akron, OH in the late 1920's .... His brothers were Fred, Earl John,
Rufus. Lloyd, Omer, and Harley .... our line goes back to Levi LOWE in
1765, who emigrated from England ....

1870) and Eleanor HAYES (ca 1811-bef 1870), who married 02 Jan 1829. The
return was recorded in Kanawha Co., VA by a circuit minister .... First
son was born somewhere in OH, all others in (W)VA .... Would like to
know parents of both and if either lived in OH? .... Most of their lives
were spent in Kanawha / Roane County
