I noticed on my father's birth certificate, the only way the information was verified on him was by a teacher at Owl Rock School and his mother, Stella Luella MOORE STRICKLAND. Where is Owl Rock School located and is it still open? Also, did they take pictures of students back then (1926-1929) .... Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am researching the MILLER family from Roane County. My grandfather was Lonnie Pantall MILLER, who was born in Roane County and moved to Akron, OH., ca 1909. His father and mother were John C. MILLER and Elizabeth PANTELL. John C. MILLER's father was also John MILLER who also lived in Roane County. There are a number of MILLER families in Roane County, but my family does not appear to be related to them.

I am doing research for my father. Michael HAUGHT, who was born in Spencer, WV in 1936. His father, Oscar Carl HAUGHT died when my father was six years old. He was killed in the Asiatic area while fighting in WWII. My father knows very little about his family. He lost track of his mother Audry (WINES) HAUGHT, who moved to Barberton. My dad's only brother, Harry Haught, died in Spencer ca 1989. His grandparents were Clyde and Dicy. Dicy died ca 1972. My gg grandfather Thomas BARNDT died in Spencer, Roane Co.,WV in 1898. He was in the 45th PA Vol. Inf. during the Civil War and is listed in the 1890 WV Veterans Schedule - Schedule WV 18817155. I am interested in any information this Schedule might give concerning Thomas as I am trying to determine his father's name ..... I appreciate your efforts and any responses.
