Notes for Leonard Clark Midcap: OBITIUARY: LEONARD CLARK MIDCAP Tyler County Journal, Middlebourne, WV, April 21, 1932 LEONARD CLARK MIDCAP, former and influential citizen of Ellsworth district, pased away, Saturday morning, April 16, 1932, at New Martinsville Hospital following an operation for appendictis. Mr. Midcap was born at Proctor, Wetzel Co, January 1, 1872 a son of Garrison & Elizabeth Clark Midcap. He was married to Hester J. Smith on january 6, 1903 and to this union were four children, three of whom preceded him in death. The one daughter, Mrs Errett Twyman of Muddy Creek, with her mother, survive him. He is also survived by sisters, Ida Rine of Ravenna, OH, Mrs Jack (Maggie) Lemasters and Mary Bowers of Spencer, and brothers Elmer of Wheeling, Bert of Spencer, Linza of Gassaway & Wiley of New Martinsville. Grant never married, lived most of his life going from one sibling to another where he could be of some help doing chores. He was a likeable fellow and loved to tell stories. He kept us spellbound for many an hour with his wit and knack for story telling.
