WRIGHT: Of Lower Flat Fork, Harper District.

John B. Wright, was born in Roanoke, Virginia, in the year 1869, arrived alone on Pocatalico some time prior to the year 1896. On being asked why he left the place of his birth, his reply was "to escape the tyranny of a step mother. I was only a small boy when I left; made my way here nad liked it." He became a substantial citizen. On September, 1896, John B. Wright and Esta M. Conley were married at the bride's home, her age 27, his age 27. She was a daughter of Jeremiah Conley. See the name "Conley."
