Jan 5. Church met and after sermon by the pastor proceeded to business.
Sister Clara Epling reported $.50 subscribed on Pastor's salary.
On motion, Rev. L. D. Starkey was granted a letter of dismission and recommendation. Treasurer reported nothing. On motion adjourned.

Feb. 2. The Church met and after sermon by the Pastor proceeded to business. On motion J. V. Bartlett was elected clerk protem. The minutes were read and approved. Bro. Mace committee to see after title of church property reported lot title genuine and committee discharged. On motion the Mod. appointed Bro. C. Tyson and T. H. Springston and J. V. Bartlett Building Com. On motion Sisters Sophie Morford and Clara Springston were appointed a committee to solicit funds to build a new church.
Treasurer reported 21.45 cts. On pastor's salary.
On motion Isabella Marks received to ordnance of Baptism.

April 6. Church met and after sermon by the Pastor proceeded to business. Sister Clara Springston reported $8.00 and Sister Morford reported $14.00 on building a new church. Treasure reported $6.20 for Pastor's salary. Sexton reported nothing. Sister Lizzie Newlon and Bro. G. W. Greathouse were received for baptism.

May 4. He Church met and after Sermon by the Pastor proceeded to business. Report of Committees called for. Sister Sophie Morford reported $31.00 and $85.00 of previous reports making $116.00 of her entire report and Sister Springston reported $47.00 for this month and $48.00 of previous report making 95.00 for her subscription on building a new church. Total subscriptions $211.00. Building committee reported plan and specification of church and said plan was adopted.
On motion Bro. T. H. Springston, one of the committee, was instructed to advertise for bids for building said church. On motion the Church proceeded to elect a Deacon and the vote for Bro. J. D. Springston was made unanimous. And on motion the Clerk was ordered to invite Ministers and Deacons of sister churches to be present at the next regular meeting and assist in ordaining the same. Treasurer reported $2.53 on Pastor's salary. Sexton reported $.45 cts.

Sunday May 5th Brethern W. T. Springston, G. W. Greathouse, Daniel Bower, Okey Bower and Sisters Bertha Springston, Ruth Hanger, Fannie Hanger, Nellie Riddle, Ida Mace, Kitty Parsons and Salina Brannon were received into the fellowship of the church.

June 1. Church met and after Sermon by the Pastor proceeded to business. Reports of Committees called for. Bro. T. H. Springston reported but only reported some bids received. On motion the Building committee is instructed to contract as soon as it accepts the bid of any one bidding on the church and report at the next meeting. Sexton reported $2.40 cts. Paid on this years salary of Sexton. Sister Clara Springston having moved out of the bounds of the Church, Bro. C. C. Riddle was added to the committee on Church subscription.

Sunday June 2. Bro. J. D. Springston was ordained as Deacon of this Church. Sisters Lizzie Newlon, Ella Epling, Nannie Walker and Ella Walker were baptized and received into the fellowship of the church.

July 6. Church met and after sermon by the Pastor, proceeded to business. On motion Jeff Springston was elected clerk protem. Report of committee called for: Brother T. H. Springston of the Building committee reported they had done nothing. Sister Sophia Morford reported $132.00 for her entire subscription on the church. Treasurer reported $41.03 on Pastor's salary for present year. Sexton reported nothing.

Aug. 3. Church met and after sermon by the Pastor proceeded to business. Report of committees called for. No report. On motion Bro. Samuel Harbert and wife was granted a letter of dismission and recommendation. On motion Robert Hildreth and wife, and Marshal Hildreth were excluded from the fellowship of this church. On motion, C. F. West, C. C. Riddle and W. T. Springston were appointed delegates to the Association. On motion the Clerk is ordered to prepare a letter. On motion, Bro. Martin Mace was appointed to collect money to pay for minutes. Treasurer reported nothing. Sexton reported nothing. On motion adjourned.

Church met on Saturday August 31, and after sermon by the Pastor proceeded to business. Report of committees called for no report. Treasurer reported $4.50 cts.
On motion the reading of the church letter was deferred until Sunday Sept. the first. On motion the Church proceeded to call a pastor and the vote for J. M. Wood was unanimous. The call was accepted. On motion, Bro. J. D. Springston and Sister Lizzie Newlon were appointed to solicit subscription on pastor's salary for the present year. On motion adjourned.

Church met on November 2, 1889, and after sermon by Bro. Stump proceeded to business. On motion, Bro. Stump was elected Moderator. On motion Jeff Springston was elected Secretary for the day and read the minutes of previous meeting or what there was of them. Report of committees called for. Jeff Springston reported $19.00 subscribed on pastor's salary. Building committee reported that the church was in debt to the workmen for work done on the church. Jeff Springston was appointed soliciting committee for the purpose of raising money to pay for building our church. On motion, Bro. W. L. Starkey was discharged as clerk, and Jeff Springston elected in his place. Treasurer reported $5.00 paid on Pastor's salary, and $46.50 paid on building the church. On motion adjourned to meet Saturday before the first Sunday in Dec.

Church met December 1, 1889, and after sermon by the Pastor proceeded to business. Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Report of committees called for. Jeff Springston reported $5.50 subscribed on pastor's salary since his last report making a total of $24.50, and $2.00 subscribed on the church. Sister Clara Bartlett reported $5.00 collected that was subscribed to the church. Treasurer reported $4.25 paid on pastor's salary since last month, making a total of $9.25, and $11.50 on the church making a total of $58.00. Sexton reported $1.40 due him which was paid. On motion the rules of order were suspended to attend to business previously forgotten. On motion, the name of our church was changed from LITTLE CREEK to TRIPLETT. On motion, the church adjourned to meet on Saturday before the first Sunday in January.

The church met January 4, 1890, and after being led to prayer by bro. J. V. Bartlett and bro. James Walker proceeded to business. On motion, bro. C. Tyson was elected Moderator. Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Report of committees were called for. Sister Lizzie Newlon reported $10. Subscribed on pastor's salary since her last report. $10 + $13.95 = $23.95 + $24.50 = $48.45, the total amount subscribed on the pastor's salary for the present year. Jeff Springston reported nothing. Treasurer reported $5.00 on pastor's salary + 9.25 = $14.25 paid on present year, and $11.75 on the church + $58.00 = $69.75 paid on the church. On motion, the church adjourned to meet on Saturday before the first Sunday in February.

The Church met February 1, 1890, and after sermon by the Pastor, proceeded to business. Report of committees called for, but they reported nothing. On motion, brother Thomas Marks was elected soliciting committee to secure money for the building of our church. On motion, Jeff Springston was appointed to collect money that has been subscribed on the church. On motion, brother J. M. Wood was released from the pastorate of our church. Treasurer reported $5.30 paid on the church + 69.75 = 75.05, and nothing on pastor's salary since last month. Sexton reported 10 cts. Paid on his salary. On motion the church adjourned to meet on Saturday before the first Sunday in March.

Resolution of Respect

Resolved That: as Brother Wood has been appointed Missionary to Logan C. H. by the State Mission Board, we extend to him our thanks for the faithful and efficient manner with which he has served for nearly six years.


The church met March 1, 1890 and after sermon by bro. Jiles Burdett proceeded to business. On motion bro. Burdett was elected moderator. Minutes of previous meeting were read. Report of committees was called for, bro. Thomas Marks reported $5.00 subscribed and collected on the building of our church. Treasurer reported $29.06 paid on the church + 75.05 = $104.11 and Pastor $6.75 + 14.25 = 21.00 paid for the present year. On motion the church proceeded to to call a pastor. The first ballot stood 17 for Rev. John Stump, 13 for Rev. Dan Conley and 10 for Rev. Jonathan Smith. Smith being dropped the second ballot stood 21 for Stump and 13 for Conley, after which Stump was elected Pastor by unanimous vote of the church. On motion the church adjourned to meet on Saturday before the first Sunday in April.

The Church met on April 5, 1890, and after reading a Chapter from the Bible and two prayers being offered, proceeded to business. On motion, bro. J. V. Bartlett was elected moderator. Minutes of previous meeting were read. Report of committees was called for. Sister Lizzie Newlon reported $27.70 subscribed for pastor's salary + 24.50 = $52.20 the whole amount subscribed for brother J. M. Wood, of which $21.00 was paid. Committee was discharged. Sisters Lizzie Newlon and Martha Springston was appointed to solicit subscriptions for the purpose of seeing how much could be raised for bro. John Stump. Treasurer reported $125.75 the total amount paid on our church. Sexton reported nothing since last month. On motion the church adjourned to meeting on Saturday before the first Sunday in May.

Called meeting of April 13, 1890 On motion bro. T. H. Springston was elected moderator. Report of committees was called for. Sister Lizzie Newlon reported $24.75 and Martha Springston $41.75 + 24.75 = $65.50. On motion the church pledged herself to pay bro. John Stump $75 for a years service. On motion the time of meeting was changed until Saturday before the second Sunday in each month. On motion the church adjourned to meet on Saturday before the second Sunday in May.

The church met May 11, 1890, and after sermon by the pastor proceeded to business. Reports of committees were called for. Sister Martha Springston reported $4.00 on pastor's salary + $65.00 = $69.50. On motion the soliciting committee on Pastor's salary was continued. On motion brother and sister William Starkey were granted letters of dismission and recommendation from this church to any other sister church of like faith and order. On motion the church sends her pastor and two of her members, Joseph Corder and Jeff Springston, to sit in council at Mt. Olive on Saturday before the first Sunday in June at 2 O'clock. On motion the second in June was the time set for the dedication of our church and brother John Stump, Sr. was invited to preach the dedication sermon. On motion the church suspended the service Sunday through respect for sister Radabaugh whose funeral was preached on the same hour. On motion the church adjourned to meet on Saturday before the second Sunday in June.

The church met July 12, 1890, and brother William Newlon preached a very interesting sermon. The business of the church was not transacted as there was not enough male members present to constitute a quorum On motion, the church adjourned to meet on the 13 of July at 10 AM
The church met according to adjournment, and after prayer, proceeded to business. The minutes of previous meeting were red and approved. Report of committees were called for. Treasurer reported $_____paid on the church and $15 to be raised before the church could be dedicated, also $6.25 paid on Pastor's salary + $17.15. On motion the Treasurer was instructed to pay bro. Newlon $10. On motion the church adjourned to meet on Saturday before the second Sunday in August.

The church met August 9, 1890, the moderator not being present, on motion brother A. McCoy was made Mod. the Clerk also being absent, J. V. Bartlett was elected Clerk protem.
Minutes were read and approved. On motion bro. Brown Burgess was granted a letter of recommendation to unite with a church of like faith and order. Brethern A. McCoy, C. F. West, & Jeff Springston were appointed delegates to the Association. On motion, George Greathouse was excluded from the fellowship of the church having united with the M. E. Church (South). The Treasurer reported $427.31 collected on the building fund.

Sunday, September 14, 1890, there was a collection taken for Mission & the printing of Minutes of the Association. The collection amounted to $4.06, and on motion the Treasurer was ordered to pay $5.00.

The church met on October 11, 1890, and after sermon by Rev. D. N. Conley proceeded to business. The pastor being absent, brother Conley was elected Moderator. Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Report of committees were called for. Messengers to the association reported J. V. Bartlett & Jeff Springston. Treasurer reported $2.50 on Pastor's salary, and Sexton reported $1.12 paid on house cleaning. On motion the church adjourned to meet on Saturday before the second Sunday in November.

On motion the resignation of the pastor was accepted, but on condition said resignation not be made formal until we hear from him again. On motion a committee of three was appointed to purchase carpets and lamps for the church. Brethern J. V. Bartlett, C. C. Riddel and C. F. West were appointed by the Mod. Sexton reported $1.12. On motion the church adjourned.

Treasurer reported $33.90 paid to Pastor, and $10.50 for incidental expenses.

Sexton reported $1.10 + 1.27 = $2.37. On motion the church adjourned to meet the second Sunday in February.

The church met April 11, 1891, and sermon by the Pastor proceeded to business. The minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Report of committees called for. On motion the committee to purchase lamps and carpet for the church was instructed to use their judgment as to buying lamps for the church now or carpet. On motion the church granted the request of brethern and sisters of Beech, Calhoun, and brethern Joseph Corder and T. H. Springston were appointed to meet with the brethern and sisters on Saturday before the fifth Sunday in May at Road Run Schoolhouse. On motion sister Theodocia Morford was appointed to visit sisters Janie Marks and Minerva Wagnor. Sister Dora Bartlett was appointed to notify sister Morford as she was present. On motion it was agreed to pay bro Fox $60 a year. On motion brother Perry Mace was restored to the fellowship of the church. The church extended the hand of fellowship to the following named brethern and sisters Perry Mace, Lida Meadows and Dora Bartlett. The following named persons have been received for baptism and baptized: Carl Walker, Ira Simmons, Charlie Starcher, Lon Epling, Lyda Meadows and Dora Bartlett. On motion the following named brethern and sisters were granted letters of dismission and recommendation: James C. Bartlett, J. W. Walker, Marion Walker, Frank Starcher, I. N. Epling, A. J. Meadows, S. C. Walker, Clara Epling, Virena Walker, Ella Epling, Nannie Walker, Ellonor Meadows, Zelda J. Epling, Dora D. Walker, Ella Walker, _____Miller, and Dora Bartlett. Also Perry Mace and wife were granted letters of dismission and recommendation. Treasurer reported 15 cts. + $2.42 = $2.57. The church met May 9, 1891, at two o'clock and after sermon by the pastor proceeded to business.
Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Sister Theodocia Morford reported and was discharged. The report was adopted. On motion brother Theodore Bartlett was restored to the fellowship of the church. On motion the brethern and sisters of the Bartlett Schoolhouse were granted their request and the following named persons were appointed to set in seats in the council at the Bartlett Schoolhouse on Saturday before the fourth Sunday in May to recognize the brethern and sisters as an independent church. On motion the following named brethern and sisters J. F. Bartlett, T. S. Bartlett and Sarah Walker were granted letters to go with the organization at the Bartlett Schoolhouse. On motion the church adjourned to meet on Saturday before the second Sunday in June.

The Church met June 15, 1891, at two o'clock and after sermon by the pastor, proceeded to business.
Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Report of committees called for. T. H. Springston reported a church organized on Beech of Henry's Fork and recognized as an independent church. Bro. C. Tyson reported also a church organized at the Bartlett Schoolhouse and recognized as an independent church by the council. Bro. T. H. Springston reported $6.50 subscribed on Pastor's salary since his last report + 19.45 = 25.95. Sister Fanny Hanger's subscriptions list shows $4.00 subscribed since her last report + 14.00 = 18.00 + 25.95 = $43.95. Sexton reported $1.25 paid since last month +3.57 = $4.82. Brother J. N. Fox presented the church with a fine Illustrated Bible. On motion the church received the Bible and voted ------ to the donor. On motion the church adjourned to meet on Saturday before the second Sunday in July.

Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. On motion a committee was appointed by request of Cedar Grove Church to consider the propriety of ordaining brother Williams to the full work of the ministry. Committee J. V. Bartlett and W. A. The Triplett Baptist Church August 8, 1891
The church held its regular meeting for business this evening at 2 o'clock. After sermon by the Pastor the church proceeded to business. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Report of committees called for. Bro. T. H. Springston reported $37.35 subscribed on Pastor's salary + 18.00 subscribed to sister Fanny Hanger = $53.35. The committee of ordination reported brother Williams ordained. On motion the clerk was instructed to prepare a letter for the Association-also to read at our next regular meeting the Church Covenant and Articles of Faith. On motion a committee was appointed to collect mission money. Com. Bertha Springston, Ola Springston and Ruth Hanger. On motion delegates were appointed to the Association. Names of delegates: W. A. McCoy, J. V. Bartlett and Jeff Springston. On motion brethern Thomas and Lon Epling were received into the fellowship of the church and granted letters of dismission and recommendation to unite with the Little Creek Baptist Church. Treasurer reported the church is due the Pastor $10.75 and that he has been paid $14.25. Meeting adjourned to meet on Saturday before the second Sunday in September.

The Triplett Baptist Church September 12, 1891
The church held its regular meeting this afternoon for business at 2 o'clock. After sermon by the Pastor the church proceeded to business. Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Report of committees called for. The soliciting committee for missions reported as follows: Sister Olie Springston $5.20, sister Bertha Springston $1.70, sister Ruth Hanger 2.45 + 5.20 + 1.70 = $9.35.
The Treasurer reported $17.70 on Pastor's salary. On request of the Moderator the Clerk read the Rules of Decorum. The Clerk not having the letter to the Association prepared was given to the next day to prepare it. On motion the church adjourned to meet on Saturday before the second Sunday in October.

The church held its regular meeting for business this evening at two o'clock.
After sermon by the Pastor the church proceeded to business. The minutes of the previous meeting were read, corrected and approved. Reports of committees called for. Bro. J. V. Bartlett reported as one of the delegates to the Association. He reported _______ time. On motion one dollar for State Mission money paid to Bro. Fox for his membership in the General Association. Treasurer reported $27.00 paid on Pastor's salary. Sexton reported $1.82 paid on the present year and the church owes him $1.18. The church held its regular meeting for business this evening at two o'clock. After sermon by the Pastor, the church proceeded to business. Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Reports of committees called for. On motion the Protestant _________ were invited to use our church house. On motion J. A. Corder, C. Tyson and Jeff Springston were appointed to obtain the correct membership of the church. Treasurer reported nothing. Sexton reported .10 + 1.82 = 1.92. On motion the church adjourned to meet on Saturday before the second Sunday in December.

The church held its regular meeting for business this evening at two o'clock. On motion the Duties of the Sexton of Triplett Baptist Church were adopted. It shall be the duty of the Sexton to prepare the wood ______ _____weather____ ____
2. To sweep the house and have the seats and lamps prepared for every occasion that the church holds a service in the house.
3. To build fire in both stoves at least forty minutes before the hour of service.
4. To clean well and scrub the house once a quarter and the church shall pay promptly once a month such sum as shall be agreed upon for service.
Treasurer reported $8.25 paid on Pastor's salary since last month. On motion the church adjourned to meet on Saturday before the second Sunday in January.

The church held its regular meeting for business this evening at two o'clock. After sermon by the Pastor the church proceeded to business. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. On motion a committee was appointed to effect a reconciliation between brother and sister Hildreth and the church. The following named persons were appointed C. Tyson and Jeff Springston. Treasurer reported $33.69 paid Pastor's salary. Sexton reported 50� on the present year and 25� on last year. The door of the church was opened and the following named persons presented themselves for membership. On motion Sister Lydia Newlon and bro. E. H. Bartlett were received on their experience and on motion bro. Charles Newlon was received for baptism. Sister Lizzie Talman reports by letter to the church. On motion the church adjourned to meet on Saturday before the second Sunday in March.

The Triplett Baptist Church March 12, 1892
The church held its regular meeting for business this evening at two o'clock. After sermon by the Pastor, the church proceeded to business. The minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. The committee to visit sister and brother Hildreth reported; and on motion the report was received and committee was discharged. Sister Lizzie Newlon's subscription list showed $11.50 subscribed on Pastor's salary. On motion the church acknowledged that she did not treat sister Hildreth right. On motion the church canceled the resolution excluding her members for failing to report themselves either in person or by letter to the church for twelve months. On motion the church proceeded to call a pastor; the ballot stood 22 for bro. J. N. Fox and 2 for bro. D. N. Conley. On motion the call for bro. J. N. Fox was made Indefinite (Ed: probably meant "Unanimous"). Treasurer reported $14.25 + 33.69 = $47.94 the amount paid on Pastor's salary. Sexton reported nothing paid since last month. The door of the church was opened and the following named persons presented themselves: Sister Florence West with a certificate of her baptism from bro. J. M. Wood. On motion she was received. On motion bro. Chandler was received for baptism. The hand of fellowship was extended to sister West and bro. John Price. Also the hand of fellowship to bro. Chandler. Soliciting committee S. J. The church held its regular meeting for business this evening at two o'clock. After sermon by the Pastor, the church proceeded to business. The minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Report of committees called for. Brother J. A. Corder reported $10.00 subscribed on Pastor's salary + $26.75 = $36.75. On motion the church acknowledged that it had done wrong in excluding members without notice and invited such back to membership.
On motion all money was to be paid into the Treasurer's hands.
On motion, the Treasurer was authorized to pay the Pastor and the Sexton all money in his hands. The Treasurer reported $3.69 paid Pastor in present year.
Sexton reported $2.40 + .50 = $2.90.
On motion the church adjourned to meet on Saturday before the second Sunday in June.

Harvey Walker was granted a letter of dismission and recommendation.

West reported $!5 subscribed on Pastor's salary + $36.75 = $51.75. On motion $5.00 was to be paid for State Missions which was to go as one installment on bro. Fox's life membership in the General Association.
On motion the Messengers to the Association were instructed to pledged the church for $10.00 missionary money. To be divided as follows: $5.00 for S. and $2.50 for Home. $2.50 for Foreign. On motion the church adjourned to meet on Saturday before the second Sunday in October.

The Triplett Baptist Church met according to adjournment, February 11, 1893. After sermon by the Pastor proceeded to business. Brother W. A. McCoy made his report of the purchase of lamp. Treasurer reported $46.91 paid on Pastor's salary. On motion it was made the duty of the Sexton to buy oil for the church lamps and to draw the money from the Treasurer. Treasurer reported $3.00 back on last year and $3.00 paid on present year. On motion the church decided to buy three cord of wood for the church. The wood to be cut and corded up on the church lot by the first of October. On motion brethern W. A. McCoy and T. H. Springston were appointed to receive bids for the getting of the wood. The total being $59.75 subscribed. On motion the church prepared to meet the Association. The clerk was instructed to prepare the letter to the Association. S. J. Newlon, J. V. Bartlett and J. A. Corder were appointed Delegates. On motion Sister Clara Bartlett was mad a committee to secure money to purchase an organ for the church. Treasurer reported $7.75 paid since his last report. The committee appointed to employ a Sexton reported they had employed brethern Fred Springston and Frank McCoy for fifty cents per month and if there were any special meeting there was to be a collection taken for them. The report was received and the committee discharged. Treasurer reported $1.50 paid on Pastor's salary also that the church is due the Sexton $3.90. On motion a committee was appointed to solicit subscription to the Pastor's salary. Names of committee Lizzie Newlon, Jemima Corder and C. D. Springston. On motion the time of meeting was changed from Saturday before the second Sunday to Saturday before the third Sunday in each month. The vote being taken resulted in a tie between brethern S. J. Newlon and W. A. McCoy. On motion they were both declared the choice of the church by unanimous vote. On motion the Deacons and Ministers of Schilling, Rush Creek, Gilboa, Little Creek and Cedar Grove were invited to meet with Triplett Church on Saturday before the third Sunday in June to assist with the ordination of Deacons. McCoy and Jeff Springston. On motion the church made May and October the time for Communion. On motion the above motion was made a part of the Rules of Decorum. On motion the church adjourned to meet on Saturday before the third Sunday in August.

Craig were appointed a committee to employ a Sexton and report at the next regular meeting. On motion the Saturday before the third Sunday in April the church will proceed to elect a clerk. The church met and after sermon by the Pastor proceeded to business. On motion sister Castenie Marks was received for baptism and the hand of fellowship was given. Treasurer reported $7.10 on last year's salary of pastor and $3.55 on present year. Treasurer reported $.40 for Sexton. On motion each member was made a committee of one to solicit, collect and pay at least one cent per month for incidental expenses. On motion each member present was made a committee to notify each member not present. On motion Bro. Jeff Springston's resignation as clerk was accepted. On motion J. S. West was chosen Clerk by acclamation. On motion a committee was appointed to visit sister Martha Goff. Names of committee S. J. Newlon and W. A. McCoy. On motion the committee was instructed to investigate as to the reading of her letter granted by this church. On motion adjourned.

On motion the report of the committee to visit sister Martha Goff was received and committee discharged. On motion the hand of fellowship was withdrawn from the above named sister. On motion the report of the committee to hire a Sexton was received. Said committee employed bro. M. Showen at one dollar per month he furnishing the wood. Brother C. D. Springston reported 5.00 on pastor's salary since last report. Treasurer reported $1.25 on last year's salary of pastor and $5.10 on current year. Treasurer reported $2.26 for incidentals. Paid old Sexton 92 cents leaving $2.34 in hand of Treasurer. On motion Treasurer was authorized to purchase broom, duster etc. for church. On motion Treasurer was ordered to pay Bro. Showen $.25 cts. due him on special contract. On motion the incidental Sunday collection was dispensed with. On motion adjourned.
