I am looking for the father of James Miller Armstead (Armistead), married to Jeanetta Davis. We know he came here (Roane County, Hurricane Creek) around 1844. We know he was born around 1814 and died in 1900. We know he fought along with his sons with the Confederacy. I have the information to current time but I need info linked to James's past, His father. I had hoped that his obtiuary or some other vital infomation that you may have access to would have something of value.

My great grandmother Daimy Armstead was James miller armstead sister. Thomas Jefferson Armstead was their father --Cynitha Parker was their mother
I think there was 15 kids in this family.
