I am seeking the descendants of Jasper and Rocelia Smith who lived near Speed in the late 1800's (they both died in 1907). They had 10 children. I know that there are descendants of their second youngest child, John W. Smith and his wife Margaret Cottrell, living somewhere near as I saw freshly placed flowers on their graves last year. I am a descendant of John's younger brother Joseph. We are trying to arrange a "reunion" of the descendants of Jasper and Rocelia Smith for this summer and would like to contact anyone who knows Smiths from Speed in Roane County, particulary descendants of John and Margaret. There are birth records for six daughters for the couple: Winnie, Louella, Lizzie, Mary Ethel, Anna and Ocie Ruth. So, I guess the descendants' names would not be Smith. Please, any info greatly appreciated.
