Rachel Taylor and John Harper
Hello!
I was wondering if anyone has any information regarding the Rachel Taylor (Rachel was born in Russell County VA in 1801 and died in Roane County WV in February 1868)who married John A. Harper, a son James A. and Agnes (Birchfield) Harper, was born in Russell County VA in March 1787 and died in Roane County WV August 28, 1877. He married Rachel Taylor about 1815. I have been unable to establish who her parents were as I have seen a lot of mixed information. It seems as though many people mix her up with Rachel Bishop Harper (wife of Armstead Harper). I have seen others have her listed as a daughter of Elijah Taylor but I don't believe that would be accurate as Elijah would not be old enough to be her father. Possibly her brother. Any information is greatly appreciated.

 Re: Rachel Taylor and John HarperHello, I just saw this post and was not sure if you ever received a reply. I have Rachel's parents as Elijah Taylor 6/21/1789-12/11/1866 and Lydia Bishop 1792-1880. I hope this is helpful.
