Carrol,
In the Roane Co. deaths there is an Asbury Lewis who died Dec 20, 1919 and the informant was George Lewis. At the time of his death he was 80y4m18d. Does this sound like your Asbury?

Is this the Col. Asbury Lewis that was married to a woman named Olive (?). He married Frances Katherine Looney in 1884 in Roane County?

I know this is an old post, but I do have info on Asbury Lewis. He was my great grandfather's brother. He was born in Harrison County on 8-3-1839
and married Olive Post in 1866. They had 6 children: George Loman Lewis, Alvin C Lewis, Laura
Lewis, Orville Lewis, Judson Romie (called Romie)
Lewis, and Laco Lewis. Olive died 5-25-1880.
Asbury married Francis Catherine(Katherine?)Looney
in 1884 and they had three children, Eliza, Rector
B., and Jennie.
Asbury's parents were Allen Lewis of Lost Creek,
Harrison County, and Matilda Davis.
Allen's parents were John Trundle Lewis and Sarah
White
John T's parents were David Lewis and Johanna(h)
Trundle. They moved from Prince George's Co.
Md. in the late 1700's, to near Romines Mills,
I have some dates and stuff--I am just now getting into genealogy and have a long way to go! Contact
me if you need whatever else I might have.
I would like to hear if you found any of this info. or more, as I am researching this Lewis line.
