Your post is a little old, so I'm not sure if you need this information now or not, but I will post anyway.
George Alan Harper and Amelia Ann Kidd Harper are my grandfather's grandparents. George was the son of Jordon Harper, whom I know nothing about. George Harper was born in 1862 and died in 1939. Amelia was born in 1868 and died in 1949. (Her cemetery marker shows her year of death to be 1939, however, she actually died ten years later in 1949.) Both George and Amelia are buried in the Harper Cemetery located on Cottontree Road.
Together they had seven children: George Leonodis(1887-1951), Estel Burdine, Lester, Jordon H. (1892-1984), Leslie Ben, Nellie Gail (Walker)(1906-1986), and Delphia Harper Williams (1897-1942).
Leslie Ben married Macy(Macie, as I have written down). They are the parents of Darrell Harper, my grandfather's cousin. I don't know many specifics about this branch of the Harper family, except how it ties in with me.
I hope this helps!

Asa had a brother, Armstead Harper, who owned several hundred acres of land. Armstead had a school and Asa taught there. It was one of the first schools in the District. Asa's parents were John Harper and Rachel Taylor. Hope this helps.
