My Smith line goes back to John Smith who settled on Thorne's Run in Wirt/Jackson County. His son James E. Smith would be my gggrandfather. on the Posten side , William H. Posten was in civil war Co. C 3rd Reg. Inf. Vol. Killed in battle of Bull Run// any info to piece mor together would be appreciated.
