Ira Bee Hunt / Harper /Mitchell Cemetery on Cicerone Road

Located on Cicerone Road. From Spencer take Rt 119 to Ambler Ridge Road to Cicerone Rd. Go to the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and take the road left of the Church. A mile or so as you are coming downhill out of the wooded area you can see a farm house setting below. Off to the far left of farm house you will see the cemetery.

My Grandmother called it the B.Hunt farm, who was Ira Bee Hunt. The farm is now owed by Harpers. Ira Bee Hunt's spouse was Lucy A Harper. The cemetery is well cared for and clean. This was in 2013 when we visit & took pictures. My grandmother, Virginia Gail (Mitchell) Davis Parents: Hoyt Edgar & Mary Mundy Mitchell, grandparents George Washington & Mary Susan "Molly" Hopkins Mitchell, 2 aunts Naomi Delsie Mitchell, Dovie Bell Mitchell & a brother Orville Thomas Mitchell are buried there. Gail went to live with her grandparents at the age of 12 after the death of her mother, Mary. A half mile from the cemetery is the Mitchell homestead. George had the general store & post office across from the house that he built. The family were members of the Mt.Moriah Church were George had an active part in the Church as deacon.

There are Taylors, Hunts, Mitchells & Harpers buried in the cemetery. There are a number of markers that are no longer readable.
